Biography

Following medical School and Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern/Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Dr. Ursprung completed his fellowship in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine at Children’s Hospital Boston. He also completed an NIH funded Masters in Medical Science degree at that time. His focus over the last 13 years has been in the field of quality and safety in the NICU Dr. Ursprung currently practices clinical neonatology in Fort Worth Texas at Cook Children’s Medical Center as well as serving as the Mednax Director of HRO/Patient Safety for Women and Children’s Services. He also serves as a member of the Vermont Oxford Network’s Database Advisory Committee.
